We believe pure food should reach every Indian family — not just those who live near the farm. That's why we built Pride of Bihar.

Deep in the Madhubani-Darbhanga wetland belt of Bihar lies a unique ecosystem that has produced one of India's rarest superfoods for over a thousand years — Mithila Makhana (Euryale ferox), the Fox Nut.
The Mallah community, traditional custodians of these sacred lotus ponds, harvest Makhana seeds using wooden boats in the early monsoon season. This ancient practice — unchanged for generations — is what gives Mithila Makhana its GI (Geographical Indication) tag, a symbol of unparalleled authenticity.
We are on a mission to put the best of Bihar into every Indian home — not by cutting corners, but by rebuilding the supply chain from scratch.
After harvest, raw Makhana seeds are sun-dried on open bamboo mats, then heated in traditional clay ovens by hand. A skilled worker knows the exact moment to crack the shell — not a second sooner, not a second later.
This handcrafted roasting tradition produces large, perfectly round Makhana — a quality that modern machinery simply cannot replicate. Then, each batch is tossed in our A2 Desi Cow Bilona Ghee for the most premium flavour experience.
